Exploring Science Through Models
Course Description:
Exploring Science with Models
What do the elements and the alphabet have in common? What happens to food once we swallow it? If the Earth spins at 1,000 mph, then why don’t we feel it? If you are interested in learning more about science and want to “see” it for yourself, this class is designed just for you!
Scientific models are physical, conceptual, or even mathematical representations that help form connections and meanings from abstract ideas. Throughout this class, participants will learn about chemical structures, anatomical systems, forces, earth systems, and more while building models to deepen their understanding.
