International Ivy – Fun With Idioms and Silly Poems
Idioms are a unique way to get your point across, and show just how fun language can be. Kids will be “all ears” and “tickled pink” going the ” whole nine yards” to learn common idioms in the English language. They will “put on their thinking caps” by developing skits and cartoons to show their grasp of these meaningful phrases. Separately, the class will reading and developing silly poems that will further phonics and word analysis skills for decoding words. It’s “in the bag” that the kids will “get a kick out out of” this class.
