Intro to Fitness (Credit Course)
Course Description
This course is designed to develop students’ basic understanding of the importance of physical fitness and how to incorporate it into their lives, either for athletic participation or general fitness. Each component of physical fitness (muscular strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, nutrition, and recover) will be explained in detail and students will learn various ways to improve their health and wellness by learning how to use the Fitness center equipment (free weights, strength machines, and cardiovascular equipment) safely and with a purpose.
Note: This summer course will meet the graduation requirement Introduction to Physical Fitness for 9th grade students.
