Pingry Track and Field Camp
Camp Description
Pingry Track and Field Camp:
Hurdles, Relays, Jumps, and more!
Pingry Track and Field camp will provide the opportunity to learn the basics of hurdling, relay passing, and the long jump. Campers will be taught ample hurdling drills from skipping to wall drills to running over a full hurdle. We provide a wide range of hurdle heights to fit the experience and age of any hurdler. We will also teach baton passing for relays the Pingry way, a fun and simple exchange. We have standing passing drills to get youngsters comfortable in passing the baton before we have them try it on the track. Finally, campers will be taught a variety of jumping drills that can benefit the beginner and the experienced jumper in long, triple, and high jumps.
We will have fun competition and games to balance our drills, and if campers desire to learn other events, we can provide that, too.
Experienced and enthusiastic coaches of Pingry’s Varsity Track and Field team will administer, organize, and teach these drills and provide a fun environment for campers; there is no experience required. Just be prepared to have fun as you participate in creative and exciting drills!
This is not a training camp… it’s a fun week of Track and Field to introduce the sport to less experienced campers, and sharpen the skills of those who may have tried it before.
