Physics for Advancement
This 6-week course is designed to review the quantitative skills and the basic principles of Newtonian mechanics covered in Honors Physics (kinematics, force, torque, energy, momentum and oscillation). This fast-paced course will provide the framework for students to be prepared for the AP Physics C: Mechanics placement exam. While this course is intended to help students prepare for the AP Physics C placement exam.
Please note the following:
- Concurrent enrollment or completion of Pre-Calculus is required
- Placement into Honors Physics is required to be eligible to take this course
- Placement into AP Physics C: Mechanics is dependent upon achieving a satisfactory grade on the July 28th final exam, and is not guaranteed by taking this course.
- Success in this course and on the final exam will require significant investment of additional time outside of the hours spent in this course.
Course Dates and Times: Course will run June 22-July 31 from 1-4pm.
