If you answered yes to these questions, then this camp is for you!
Participants will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty both on Pingry’s campus farm and in our forest. They will plant, care for and harvest crops at the farm, care for our flock of chickens, learn about forest management on our campus and more, all while learning basic principles of sustainable farming and environmental biology. During the first week, participants will acquire basic camping skills, which will be put to the test during the second week, when campers will have an overnight adventure*, sleeping at Pingry’s campsite and cooking their own meals prepared with local ingredients that they helped grow. *The sleepover will remain TBD. Once we receive COVID camp guidelines from the state we will provide more information.
