Beyond Young Academy

Extemp Thinking & Speaking Summer Camp for Grades 5–11 is designed to help
students develop the ability to think clearly, organize ideas quickly, and speak with
confidence under time pressure.

This camp focuses on the essential skills behind extemporaneous speaking—skills
that are foundational for debate, public speaking, Model UN, academic
competitions, and future classroom performance. Students learn not just what to
say, but how to think in real time and express ideas with structure and purpose.

Each week features a different theme, allowing students to practice
extemporaneous thinking across a range of topics while strengthening both
reasoning and communication skills.

This summer camp is designed to strengthen students’ core literacy and communication skills by integrating reading comprehension, structured writing, and confident public speaking into one cohesive learning experience.

Students will develop:

• Confidence in speaking and presenting ideas
• A positive relationship with learning, expression, and self-confidence

Reading · Writing · Public Speaking Summer Camp helps students turn ideas into words, and words into confident voices — building a strong foundation for future academic success and communication.

This program is built on the internationally recognized Singapore Math framework
used by Spark Math, thoughtfully designed for children from Pre-K through
Grade 1.

Rather than focusing solely on early computation, the program emphasizes how
mathematical thinking is formed, how logic is organized, and how ideas are
clearly expressed.

At this critical developmental stage, children are not just building number sense —
they are developing a transferable thinking framework that supports future
success in mathematics, reading comprehension, science learning, and the classroom
communication.

This summer, students are invited to step into the world of theatre, imagination, and performance at the Beyond Young Theatre Club Camp.

Led by experienced theatre instructors, this camp gives students the opportunity to explore acting, storytelling, stage movement, and creative expression in a fun and supportive environment.

Through engaging theatre games, improvisation, and scene practice, students will build confidence, develop communication skills, and learn how to bring characters and stories to life.

Think, Analyze, Explain

Program Overview

Instead of covering many topics quickly, each week focuses on one core scientific field — allowing students to explore concepts in depth, conduct structured experiments, analyze results, and communicate their thinking clearly.
