Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register?

Registration opens January 10, 2023! All Signature Programs and many of our Partner Programs register through CampBrain.  Other Partner programs register through their own registration platforms. A registration link is available on each program’s information page and upon clicking on it, you’ll be redirected to the proper place to register. We’d be happy to guide you through registration via live chat or by phone.

What is your cancellation policy?

The cancellation request must be made  seven (7) business days before your camp is scheduled to start. No credit or refunds will be provided if you cancel after this timeframe. The tuition will be returned; the $50 registration fee is non-refundable.

No credit or refunds will be provided if you cancel after this timeframe.

Changes to registrations are subject to a $25 per transaction fee.

When does registration close?

Registration closes at 12PM the Wednesday before the respective camps and courses start.

What if I’m interested in a half-day specialty camp, but I need care for my child all day?

No problem. At Pingry Summer, we take pride in offering options to fit every age and interest. Many campers register for one camp in the morning, and another in the afternoon. These transitions happen at the end of lunch and are managed by camp staff to ensure your child’s safety. For help selecting camp programs for your child, we invite you to request a Personalized Plan from our registrar, or contact us via live chat, email, or phone to discuss camps and options that fit your child’s schedule and interests.

Is lunch included?

Lunch options vary by camps and location. See individual program pages for lunch availability.

Are there health forms that my doctor needs to sign in order for my child to attend camp?

No. You do need to complete our electronic health history form, but it does not require a doctor’s signature. Separate health forms may be required for some partner programs.

Do you offer door-to-door transportation?

We offer limited transportation options from our Short Hills campus to our Basking Ridge campus and back again. We do not offer door-to-door transportation at this time. Before care and after care are available for families who need to drop off as early as 7:30 a.m., or pick up as late as 6:00 p.m.

What if my child does not attend Pingry?

You do not have to be a Pingry student to enroll in a Pingry Summer camp. Our campers come from a number of local communities, and many campers are not Pingry students. Counselors are trained to help support campers in making (and keeping!) friends during camp.

What if my child wants to be grouped with a friend within the day camp or program?

We will do our best to accommodate requests for children who fall within the same age groups.  Please notify our camp registrar Deanna Smith desmith@pingry.org with any requests or concerns.

Does my child qualify for Mini Camp?

Mini campers must be 3-4 years old and fully potty trained before starting camp. If you plan to register your child for an additional afternoon program, your child should be prepared for a day with no nap time.

Why can’t my Mini camper take a nap/wear a diaper?

Pingry Summer is not licensed as a daycare provider and as such our staff are not permitted to assist with toileting, or to provide a nap space. Staff will provide guidance as your child changes before and after swim.

How do I apply for admission to Pingry for the school year?

Information on Pingry’s application process can be found here.

What is Big Blue Summer’s tax ID number?

It is 22-1493168.
