“Build a Birdhouse” Mini-Woodshop
Camp Description
At “Build a Birdhouse” camp, your child gets to work in a kid-friendly “woodshop.” They’ll gain experience in using handy woodworking tools like tape measures and speed squares, while also learning and following important safety tips for using tools like hammers and handsaws. This hands-on project is elevated by the valuable, real-life application of math concepts like careful measuring, marking accurate lines, and 3D construction from 2D shapes. At the end of the week, your child will take all these skills home with them, along with the wooden birdhouse they built!
